Harlan Clemmons is the President and Owner, along with his wife, of HBC Holdings, LLC dba Sadex. He purchased the Sioux City electron beam facility in January of 2020 from Sadex Corporation. Harlan is responsible for all aspects of the Sioux City facility. From 2005 to 2019, Harlan was President and COO of Sadex Corporation. From 1999 to 2004, Mr. Clemmons served as Plant Manager as well as the primary client contact at the same facility, then owned by a different corporation. Prior to joining Sadex, Mr. Clemmons was with ConAgra’s oat milling division as the corporate accounts sales manager and plant manager in the milling, packaging, warehousing, rail, truck, elevator, and scheduling unit from 1996-1999. Prior to joining ConAgra Harlan managed a one hundred rail car grain terminal in Ohio and a Mississippi River barge facility. Mr. Clemmons designed and implemented numerous process improvement innovations during his tenure as a Plant and Production Manager. These included HACCP, Sanitation, Safety, and SOP plans to be compliant with FSIS, APHIS, FDA, and USDA regulations. Mr. Clemmons has a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
