Michael Ablan has worked in the Outbreak Response and Prevention Branch within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since 2019 where he now serves as an evaluator. He has led multiple evaluations including developing performance indicators for the outbreak response process, a needs assessment for state department capacity to prevent outbreaks linked to raw milk and exploring consumer KAP towards food irradiation.
He has worked with and provided guidance on evaluation practices across the division and branch in which he serves. Over recent years he has led multiple projects exploring current consumer knowledge, attitudes, and practices towards food irradiation. His primary language is English, with moderate Spanish language skills.
