Dr. Maehler PhD earned a BS in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Univ. of Calif., Santa Barbara and a PhD in Biochemistry from Univ. of Calif., Davis. His professional career started as Sr. Scientist for Basic Vegetable Products, then Quaker Oats Company, then Dir Research and ultimately President/COO of Heller Seasonings until its acquisition by Newly Weds Foods where he now oversees scientists helping customers make great tasting, safe food with natural ingredients. He served as Chairman of the Microbiology & the Executive Committee of the Technical Group of the American Spice Trade Assoc. and past President and Board Member, National Seasoning Manufacturers Association.
