Vice President, Quality Assurance and Food Safety
Tammi Frederick has over 30 years of experience in the food industry with expertise in food safety, quality, product development and regulatory. Tammi is the Vice President, Quality Assurance and Food Safety for H-E-B. During her 17 years with H-E-B, she has served numerous leadership roles in Quality Assurance including Own Brand, Retail and the Metrix360 Laboratory. Prior to H-E-B Quality Assurance roles, Tammi was a Product Development Manager for six years working on products for the H-E-B portfolio.
Prior to HEB, she served as Vice President of Technical Services for Food Safety Net Services, an ISO 17025 Accredited network of food testing laboratories and food safety consultants. In this position, Tammi was responsible for auditing, consulting and educational services for the industry. During this time, she worked with many industries such as meat, poultry, produce, condiments, packaging, seasoning and bakery.
Tammi served as Quality Assurance and Laboratory Manager for Plantation Foods and then as Vice President of Technical Services for L&H Packing and Surlean Foods for over 8 years. During this tenure, she was responsible for building Quality & Food Safety systems and compliance to the launch of HACCP in the meat industry.
Tammi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University and her Master’s degree in Meat Science from Texas Tech University.
Tammi is married to Robert Frederick and has three daughters.
